What Heroes Gave
by Roger J. Robicheau (Sp 5, US Army)
by Roger J. Robicheau (Sp 5, US Army)
Each donned their uniform to be
Defenders of our liberty
Their mission sure, their spirits bright
Guard freedom’s home, be brave to fight
One final day each faced their call
Each gave their best enduring all
We’ll never know what they went through
But know they loved this country true
Deep down inside we should all feel
What heroes gave, their cost so real
We must stay thankful, grateful of
The gift of freedom through their love
Their loved ones bore the gravest pain
What we can’t know, some now sustain
To God I pray their pain will cease
And each will find long-lasting peace
Remember this from year to year
What heroes gave – shan’t disappear
We’ll never let their special day
Their time for honor slip away
These brave fought for a nation free
If not for them, where would we be?

Jake and Josh Keuning are desiring to go to the CIY (Christ in Youth) convention in Durango this summer. This is a week long youth conference that they will be attending with the youth from Grace Church. In order to make this a reality, they need to earn some money to pay the $315 tuition/person. If you have any work you would like done around your yard or anything like that, they are willing and able (or if you would like to make a donation). Please contact Lisl for further information. Thanks!
THANK YOU! Thanks to everyone for the continued prayer and support of Caleb Pringle during his deployment. Missions Update:
Bill & Barbara Fair (InFaith)
Bill and Barbara
Fair (InFaith) have had a busy, but blessed Springtime! They were gone
quite-a-while when they went to Georgia to visit with Barbara's mom and family.
They, also, attended 2 conferences while they were away and shared with 75
people about what God has been doing in their lives. Barbara said this was a
major highlight of the trip.
Bill and Barbara
just finished the "Training of the Twelve", which is an annual discipleship and
fellowship time with turkey hunting. They had an excellent time this year with
more than 12 men coming!
They are ready for a
little (a lot) R&R on the home front until June 1st. Then is when the
summer teen camps begin. There is one in LaVeta, one in Greeley, and two in
Montrose. Please pray for safety and open hearts! (Oh, and energy for Bill and
Barbara)
Cannon family in Indonesia:
Sean is recently recovering from Typhoid which canceled their Christmas plans. They are very thankful for competent doctors near them that could treat him effectively. "As always, we want to thank you for your part in our lives and ministry with MAF. Through times of illness, celebration, rest, challenge, and overwhelming busyness, we are encouraged to know that so many people are praying for us and giving financially to help us thrive here where God has placed us. THANK YOU!"
Kenya:

Vicki Hujus has a list of items that are needed (many of the items can be found at a thrift store or dollar store - not expensive things) and has someone going there that could take some stuff. Please contact her if you would like to donate something to the Haugers.
