Prayer and Praises
February 3, 2011
We praise God for the spiritual encouragement and support you give us by faithfully lifting us up before the throne of grace!
Here are the things we are thanking God for:
1. Comments from new clients: “The people are so respectful and understanding.”; “I think you guys are doing a fantastic job.”; “Thank you very much!”; “I liked the friendly atmosphere.”; “I felt very comfortable.”; “It was helpful and friendly.” In answer to our question “How could we be more helpful to someone in your situation?” : “Just getting the word out to everyone to come here and help out and get help.”
2. An outstanding class of new volunteer trainees, including 4 male volunteers and 2 veterans who are taking a “refresher”.
3. I (Lisa) am so thankful for dedicated staff members, Jan and Liz, who covered for me while I was out sick.
4. Furniture provided for a client and her family in need.
Here are things we would like prayer for:
1. Client prayer requests: “Just (for me) to be more careful next time.”; “To have a safe full-term pregnancy.”; “Pray that the baby inside me will grow healthy and strong and survive this experience.”
2. Blessings on those in Volunteer Training January 31 to February 11.
3. Lisa Locke to get over the remains of the flu; protection from staff, client and volunteers from illness.
4. All My Money class for clients to learn to handle their money wisely, Feb. 15, 17, 22, 24
Needs:
1. Water bottles for clients.
2. In our boutique: toys for kids age 2 and under; large, gently-used stuffed animals; personal items for moms; size 2 diapers.
3. Help with cleaning the Center one day per month.
