ARMY HELMET LINERS

DO YOU KNIT OR CROCHET?

The soldiers in the U.S. Military in Afghanistan are in need of helmet liners this winter. Our goal is to send 34 liners by the last week in November. We now have about a dozen. Eagle Mercantile has the wool yarn for $5.25 per skein which will make one liner with yarn left over. Talk with Laura at Eagle and she will direct you to the yarn and colors approved by the military. She will also make a copy of the pattern for you. If you do not knit, but wish to help you may purchase the yarn at Eagle and give it to either Eve Taylor (264-6151) or Vivian De Young (731-4094) and they will see that it gets into the hands of a knitter. Please return your finished liner to Eve and she will mail them to her son Jim and he will distribute them to the brave soldiers in his platoon. Thank you and God Bless you for helping.
